Private Prayer
-
A private prayer session is a quiet, confidential space where you can bring whatever is on your heart to God with the support of a trained prayer team. It is a time to slow down, breathe, and receive prayer, encouragement, and spiritual clarity. The focus is always on God’s presence and His tender work in your life.
-
No. Private prayer is pastoral and spiritual, not clinical. We do not diagnose, treat, or provide mental‑health counseling. Instead, we offer prayer, Scripture‑rooted encouragement, and gentle spiritual support. Many women find that private prayer complements therapy beautifully, but it is not a replacement for it.
If you would like to receive counseling or therapy, please reach out to us and we can connect you with some of our favorites.
-
Sessions typically include a short opening prayer, a time for you to share what’s been weighing on your heart, and gentle, Spirit‑led prayer offered on your behalf. You may receive Scripture, encouragement, or simple practices to help you continue praying throughout the week. Everything is done with reverence, consent, and emotional safety.
Prayer sessions are typically around an hour and a half long.
-
We offer gentle, Scripture‑rooted prayer for freedom, clarity, and release from spiritual heaviness — but nothing dramatic, forceful, or sensational. All prayer is conducted with care, consent, and emotional safety. Our focus is always on Jesus, peace, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.
-
You are always free to share at your own pace, but we do gently encourage you to be open during your private prayer session. The more you share, the more clearly we can pray with you and support what God is doing in your life. You never need to be graphic or overly detailed, but holding back too much can make it difficult for us to understand what you’re carrying and how to pray effectively.
Please know that we have truly heard it all — nothing you share will shock us or be met with judgment. Everything is held with deep confidentiality and reverence. This is a safe place to bring the real things you’re walking through, and you will be met with compassion, prayer, and the presence of God.
-
Private prayer sessions are offered at no cost. If you feel called to give, donations are welcome, but never expected. Donations can be made using the “Donate” button on our home page or by going to givebutter.com/light-the-way
-
You are welcome to schedule sessions as needed. Most women come during difficult seasons, and others come once or twice a year. There is no required rhythm — simply come when you need prayer and support.
-
To honor confidentiality and create a peaceful environment, private prayer sessions are for you and our prayer team only. If you would like someone to pray with you, we encourage you to attend an Abide Night or one of our group offerings.
-
No preparation is needed. Just come as you are — with your questions, your burdens, your hopes, and your desire to meet God. He will meet you in the quiet.
